Coaches play a big role in youth sports. Requirements... Have a great attitude and focus on player development. No experience needed... we can teach you.
NFL Flag and Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks QB) invested in an amazing new coaching tool. It will make player development and practice a breeze for new and experienced coaches. Its an app based coaching tool that will change the game.
On Sundays, teams will have a 30-minute warm-up and play review followed by their scheduled game. In some cases, a team may play a double header. Your schedule will be posted in the League App.
Team Practices: Coaches may schedule team practices on Friday nights between 6pm - 9pm. If your team practices, your practice time will be posted in your schedule.
Skills & Drills: We will host Friday Night Skills & Drills sessions from 6pm to 8pm. We will rotate through drill stations and players will be split up by age groups. The skills sessions will be led by league coaches. The Skills & Drills is included in your league entry fee. Your Skills & Drills session will be posted to your schedule.
League Rules - Click the rules link in the main header
We will offer a "Parents Rules Session" at the Combine. While your kids are going through drills, we will have one of our referees walking the parents through the rules. We want you to be informed on the rules. It makes for a better experience for everyone.
Headgear will be Mandatory for 10u Boys Divisions and older moving forward in 2022. Click the GameBreaker images to order your headgear.
FLAG FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT LIST
Flag football flags and belt. Players wear belts with flags that hang along their sides and opponents have to pull the flags off of the ball-carrier’s belt. Every player receives an official NFL FLAG football belt and flag football flags, either from their coach or league organizer.
NFL FLAG team jersey. Every player also receives a team jersey upon registration.
Shorts. It’s important to wear shorts that don’t have pockets. This allows the belt and flags to be visible at all times, avoiding unnecessary penalties. It also is a safety precaution so that fingers don’t get stuck when attempting to remove the flag.
Mouthguard. Mouthguards are required. We recommend having a backup mouthguard in your bag, just in case.
Football cleats. Metal cleats are not allowed in flag football.
Football gloves (optional). Some players prefer to use football gloves, which give extra grip to help control the ball. These aren’t required, though. Branded NFL team gloves are available for purchase.
All concessions proceeds will benefit our travel tournament teams. We will be serving cold brew coffee for the parents. We will also have drinks including water and sports drinks. For the post game fun... we will have a variety of goodies. Please support our players!
